It was a pleasure to be a part of the 10 years of 10x celebration at VIB (Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologie) in Ghent, Belgium, on June 12, 2026, to mark a decade since our single cell technology first arrived there through Tech Watch in 2016. Since then, the VIB community has made remarkable breakthroughs in immunology, oncology, neuroscience, plant sciences, and computational biology. Thanks to everyone who came out to reflect on the journey with us. Here's to the next ten years!
Starting with an informal dinner kick-off, this two-day event brought together around 60 scientists from core facilities across Europe to share data, coordinate expertise and resources, and learn about new technologies from industry partners. The event paired a facility tour with technical discussions. We are excited for the 2027 edition and are looking forward to seeing where the consortium's collaboration leads next.
GEM-X Epi Multiome delivers robust, highly sensitive profiling of both gene expression and open chromatin from the same cell. Gain deeper insights into regulatory networks, cell states, and cell lineage with directly linked transcriptomic and epigenomic single cell profiles.
