Blood is one of the most accessible and information-rich sample types for single cell analysis, providing valuable insights into immune responses, disease biology, biomarker discovery, and therapeutic mechanisms of action.

Historically, however, blood collection has been a major bottleneck for large, multi-site, or longitudinal studies. Many workflows required immediate sample processing and access to specialized laboratory equipment at the collection site, making study logistics challenging.

Our latest blood collection workflows remove many of these limitations by allowing samples to be stabilized at the time of collection and processed when it's most convenient for your study.

With these workflows, you can:

  • Stabilize blood immediately after collection, simplifying multi-site studies.
  • Collect samples outside of a laboratory setting without specialized processing at the collection site.
  • Store samples at room temperature or 4°C for up to 3 days, or freeze them for long-term storage before processing.
  • Perform whole-transcriptome single cell analysis with optional protein and TCR/BCR immune repertoire profiling.

Join us to learn how whole blood fixation simplifies sample collection and how Chromium Flex Apex combines scalable sample multiplexing with whole-transcriptome resolution to make large-scale single-cell studies more accessible and cost-effective.
