Webinar Learning Series

Biology at True Resolution

Uncover the hidden complexities of biology with single cell and spatial solutions

Join our Biology at True Resolution Learning Series. This four-part series will introduce several applications enabled by 10x Genomics Chromium and Visium platforms to help you push the boundaries of your research. In each session, you will learn fundamental knowledge of a specific application and review publication highlights illustrating how other researchers were able to see biology at true resolution. Each session will be 30 - 40 minutes in length followed by a live Q&A. Attendees who participate in all four sessions will receive a certificate of completion. Please register for the sessions below.

Agenda:

Session 1: Exploring Single Cell Transcriptomic Applications with 10x Genomics
Presenter: Nicole Abreu, Science & Technology Advisor, 10x Genomics
June 5, 2020 | 11:00 AM PDT

The Chromium Single Cell Gene Expression Solution provides a comprehensive, scalable solution for cell characterization and gene expression profiling of hundred to tens of thousands of cells. In this session, the instructor will provide:

  • An introduction to the types of scientific questions you can answer when analyzing single cells, while reviewing publication highlights
  • An overview of how the Chromium Single Cell platform works, including a walk through of the workflow, sample preparation considerations, and a preview of data sets and visualization software
  • A showcase of multiomic applications using Feature Barcode technology as well as discuss new gene expression products on the horizon

Session 2: Multiomic Cytometry using 10x Genomics Feature Barcode Solution
Presenter: Jason Kim, Science & Technology Advisor, 10x Genomics
June 12, 2020 | 11:00 AM PDT

Chromium Single Cell Immune Profiling is a comprehensive solution enabling immune cell classification through gene expression combined with cell surface protein measurement using feature barcode technology. The scalable technology enables screening of tens of thousands of single cells. In addition, it allows interrogating the immune repertoire from the same cell. In this session, the instructor will provide:

  • An overview of the Chromium Single Cell Immune Profiling Solution, including workflow and data visualization
  • An introduction to Feature Barcode technology to measure cell surface proteins at single cell resolution
  • A highlight of key publications, data sets and use cases as well as introduce new products on the horizon

Session 3: Epigenomics at Single Cell Resolution with 10x Genomics
Presenter: Rosha Pouydal, Science & Technology Advisor, 10x Genomics
June 19, 2020 | 11:00 AM PDT

The Chromium Single Cell Assay for Transposase Accessible Chromatin (ATAC) Solution provides a robust and scalable approach to map the epigenetic landscape at single cell resolution. Using a transposase enzyme to preferentially tag accessible DNA regions with sequencing adaptors, researchers can now generate sequencing-ready libraries and identify open chromatin regions to understand epigenetic and regulatory variation across tens of thousands of cells. In this session, the instruction will provide:

  • A discussion of why it is important to interrogate the epigenome at the single cell level
  • An overview of the simple, high-throughput workflow and intuitive software
  • A highlight of key publications and introduce new products in development, including combined single-cell gene expression and single-cell ATAC

Session 4: Envision new dimensions with Visium Spatial Gene Expression Solution
Presenter: Nirav Patel, Science & Technology Advisor, 10x Genomics
June 26, 2020 | 11:00 AM PDT

See how Visium Spatial Solutions from 10x Genomics are enabling researchers to map the whole transcriptome with morphological context to discover novel insights into normal development, disease pathology, and clinical translational research. In this session, the instructor will provide:

  • An introduction to the Visium technology, demonstrating the power of adding spatial information to gene expression analysis
  • An overview of Visium applications and review publication highlights using spatial gene expression technology in oncology, neuroscience, and beyond
  • A walk through of the Visium workflow, sample preparation, data analysis and additional resources to support your experiments
  • A highlight of upcoming new capabilities to Visium including immunofluorescence, targeted gene expression, highly multiplexed spatial protein expression, and FFPE compatibility
