Flex technology: Performance and application to overcome challenges in clinical trial samples

In this talk, you will learn how the Flex technology overcomes the logistical and quality hurdles associated with multicenter clinical trials and low-quality samples. The is on a comprehensive benchmarking study of the Flex protocol, highlighting several key advantages:

  • Enhanced data quality: Discover how the Flex protocol outperforms the standard five-prime protocol across various tissue preparation strategies, providing higher sensitivity (yielding more genes and counts) and lower ambient RNA contamination.
  • Superior FFPE profiling: Learn how applying Flex to FFPE blocks—demonstrated through a TLR7 agonist clinical trial—generates single cell RNA sequencing data that is superior to data obtained from matching slow-frozen nuclei.
  • Deeper biological insights: Explore how this FFPE-derived data provides a richer cluster structure, detects previously unresolved T cell states, and better captures treatment-induced biological signals, such as the induction of the M1 macrophage signature.
